Mambo.

Ah yes, the smoke and the usual drunkards on the dance floors. Fun stuff for someone who hasn't gone very much. Omg, they really absolutely do the hand action thingys. Funny to the max! Thanks for the night guys (:

Bringing ___ back.

NOT sexy back. But this is my favourite shot of today. I love taking people's backs. Somehow, there's something elusive, somewhat of a mystery. You can't see what they're thinking, or whether they're smiling. I like it that I would never know that if I do capture a shot. Put words into their heads, doesn't really matter what they were thinking.

Who knows anyway?

Centre play.

So, I tied up my laces, made sure my shorts were on tight [just in case anyone tried anything funny], and stepped into my first soccer game ever. Given, I've played tonnes of other ball sports like tennis and netball, but most required hands. On the other hand, soccer is the complete opposite. I had every itch to pick up the ball everytime it came to me. Completely armed with no skill training whatsoever [PE doesn't count] I played my first soccer game.
I got pushed around, thankfully, I played with very gentlemenly boys, so everything is fine, no serious injury and what not. Just extremely muddy shoes and two very worked out legs.
Touching the ball every, say, 10 minutes did prove its fun and entertainment. But it's back to racket sports for me I guess. Anybody wanna teach me soccer? (:

Neoprinting.

It has increased by 4 bucks since it came out. But ohwell, tradition is tradition.
I am going to sleep, just right about now.

Heard.

And I hear sappy love songs being sung.

Between now and then, till I see you again, I'll be loving you,

Love me.

Shelle-fish.

Shooting with Andrew at Chinatown was much fun. All his SUPER lenses. Hehe. And I lost a bit of money, but it was all worth it! (: I'm loving all the 'cream' in my photos. HappyhappyShellefish!

Spring Clean.

I've done a semisortof half the room spring cleaning. I shall not let you in on the terrible messy secrets of the bedroom anyway, there's simply no floor nor bed left to be seen since it's piled with small little things that I've accumulated over the years. My very neat bookshelf now, shall only remain to be as such for I say about...
3 weeks.

Red and yellow makes red.

"Every side of love sings a different song."

One last dance was a pretty good show I reckon. Although I still struggle to understand what and why. Anyway, shall stop rambling. Was going to write about how I took my evening walk and thought about things. But, forget that. Let's just be simple, sweet.
Happy birthday big boy(:

Sea leg less.

I've come to realize on this trip how much a love the sea, sand and sun. Very unlike both my parents who forbid me to go scuba-ing btw. I am very much determined to get both my sailing and boating license so that I can go out more often. But seeing that my geography and memory isn't all that good, I will need alot of practice and time to remember all that. Time to get my sealegs back. And I really thank God for so much water! I like(:

Phuket.

Sand, sun and sea! I went windsurfing and my first ever full body massage. It takes some getting used to, but the cracking was really good. Windsurfing! My head start to surfing. It was really fun except that I spent half the time trying to pull up the sail and facing the board AND sail in the right direction. I shall get more instruction soon. My 'instructor' couldn't really speak english. So we communicated using hand signs which isn't such a good idea seeing that I use both hands to pull up the sail. Splash!

Penang.

My shortest trip ever back to Char Kuay Teow land. Heh. Sorry Willie! Didn't get to meet up with you! We breathed the same air! At this Pulau Tikus shop, I saw this super cute guy. But well, didn't get to take a photo. Anyway, shopped in Gurney, bought nothing, saw the small little cute cousin and the uncles and back to the ship! Happy hour and lounge lazing. Yes, about Colin Kerr, number one, he has a very funny accent, Scott-ish, and his favourite phrase is "Wo-ow" [said in a funny way]. He is witty and thinks of jokes on the spot. I always respect people who can do that. And he sings! Arhh... Where to find a cruise director like that! Pure entertainment just watching him talk. Haha!

*CK is Colin Kerr
CK: Okay everybody! In Phuket, when you speak Thailand, as in Thai, you ladies all have to be demure and sweet. So you all go, "Sa-wa-dee-KAH". Ookay? Now, you must remember that you ladies are always "kah" in Thai, and all men are "krap" [crap? Geddit? Haha! No offence guys! It was funny!]

That above btw, is the sunsetting behind Penang island.

Ships A'hoy!

The Tng family has been away on cruise for the past four days. I've tonnes of photos to blog but I shall chose the best of the lot.

The Star Virgo ship can hold a crew of 1400 and a total of 2500 passengers. Quite amazing huh. It is much like a mini self contained sorta island on the ship itself, holding everything from amenties shops, casinos and two pools. The whole time on the ship was spent eating and watching shows. Haha. Colin Kerr our cruise director is MULTI TALENTED! I shall elaborate more. So Penang and Phuket for Day Two and Three!

Bedroom secrets.

Rainyrainy day again! So I spent the morning lazing around. Headed to Ngee Ann for a shoot with Paulie. Interesting enough. And then was Bedroom Farce. It was really funny! A good run for the money I suppose. Everyone, go and support my wonderful friend in his production of Bedroom Farce! It's a play by Alan Ayckbourn about four couples and their intertwining lives. The concept of a three bedroom on stage all at once set was well executed I say. The actors held their characters well, [I loved Nick and Ernest!] and played out their respective maturity states well despite their 18-21 year old range. Respect! Go watch it guys! Its on for the 13 Jan and 14 Jan, 7.30pm at the DBS Arts Centre. If you really want tickets please leave a comment so that I can tell you how to get them! (:

JY, Nigel, Josh, Vicc, Ji and I then headed to Brewerkz to supsup! The boys were really hungry I guess. Vicc and I had Bread pudding, so yumyum rub tumtum! Hurr. Ohwell, all in all, it was a really pleasant way to end the week and to invite the weekend in, chilling out and talking about everything under the sun, no masks, just you.

Rainy lights.

"Lights will guide you home"

While the rain comes and goes, I sit quietly in my room, stillness and the pit pattering of rain engulfing my senses. I'm still in bed at 12, doesn't bug me for the first time ever. Contemplation of what rain brings and what stems my little thoughts of nostalgic wet canvas shoes fill my never ending train of brainwords.

And then it'll be all about the wordplay. Ah la la la la... Listen closely to the words I say.

Gah. In a way, I can't wait to hang out at the beach and be a beach bum rather than a home professional bummer. Summer skies, hurry and come!

One more.

One more to drown my sorrows
I don't want your hand
Rest of the world in blurred motion
Can't be bothered to be a friend
So just one more
Would be just enough
Just to tip me over

Enough

Rules of Engagement.

I attended my first ever engagement party after fretting and frantically shopping last night about buying the present. I spent the whole morning, and afternoon helping my mum with the food and getting the present done up nicely, said goodbye to JLee and then off to the party. It was a sweet and short ceremony before playing games and just hanging around with old friends and close ones too.

MingDao and Claire, I wish you all the happiness and love(:

I think everyone is getting bored of what I do everyday. Hehe. I'll try to take more photos.

Todaytoday.

Today today, I slept very little. 3 hours to be exact. Tossedturned from 1 till 3. Knocked off till 6. Tossedturned till 7. Gaveup. So I stayed home with puffy and red eyes reading a nice book with water and whisky. Nah. Apple juice. Gave up half way. And spent the rest of it with Wentworth Miller and his million dollar sideway smile which got him out of prison.Thinking of too much, concluding too little.

Coudn't be.

You shouldn't look for me
In the strangest of places
I wouldn't be there
Familiarity with the same
Dance steps of lightness
Built up walls and yellow lights
Maybe I thought you were
Who you are but
Sometimes I can be wrong
Couldn't be

Gah. Rambleramble.

Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to lie
Life taught me die

Hrrrms.

Ah yes, I just realised that I was blogging a day in advance. So much for not being able to wait for the new year. Well, I had a great sweat out today and, of course, a lovely 3hours with my US of A friend Beatrice and people who I have not seen in years.

The lovely reminisce of yesteryears, handprinting and starsearching.
And an interview. Now I blog in sync with real time.

MoooZooo.

Long drives and bittersweet memories, smelly cages and primate fascination, Ben and Jerry's and food, rainy days and love.

A night with Ben Stiller.

Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson. Ooo, the stellar cast made it so worth it to watch. The storyline was honestly unexpected. I thought it would be something really stupid and just slapstick humor, but Ben Stiller outdid himself on this one. The single divorced father, desperate for work, stuck in a museum that comes to live? It deserves the laughs and "Dumdum bring gumgum" reinactments.
